Call audit_feed with url and an optional staleDays threshold. Check a public HTTPS RSS 2.0 or default-namespace Atom feed for malformed XML, empty feeds, missing common channel/entry fields, duplicate GUIDs/IDs and invalid or future item dates. Reports newest item date, age in days and freshness against your chosen staleDays threshold (default 30). Useful after a blog migration or when a news automation stops updating.

Returns counts, findings and a sample of the first 20 entries.

This is a common-issue checker, not a full RSS/Atom conformance validator; freshness is a signal, not proof of failure. Does not fetch item links, discover feeds, render JavaScript, validate podcast enclosures or retain history. RSS 1.0, prefixed Atom namespaces and JSON Feed are not supported.

HTTPS/443 only; obeys robots.txt; private networks blocked and validated DNS pinned. No redirects, compressed responses or crawl-delay scheduling. Up to 1 MiB/1,000 entries with a 25-second network budget.

Free: 100 tool calls/month. Pro: $1/month for 1,000 total tool calls; no overage charges or automatic paid upgrade. No external paid API.
