What did that sale actually make you?
Sale price is not profit. Each marketplace stacks different fees, and they changed a lot in 2026. This itemises every one, then subtracts shipping, what you paid for the item and supplies.
Platforms and fees covered (US, as of 2026-10-01)
- eBay: final value fee by category tier (standard, sports cards, handbags, watches, athletic shoes), per-order fee, Promoted Listings.
- Etsy: listing fee, 6.5% transaction, payment processing, Offsite Ads (15% or 12%).
- Poshmark: flat fee under $15, 20% above.
- Mercari: 10% selling fee.
- Depop: no US selling fee, payment processing, boosted listings.
- Whatnot: category commission plus payment processing.
- TikTok Shop: referral fee (8% for most categories since Aug 2026), per-order fee, affiliate commission.
