Spain & EU Public Data MCP — by OpenData Forge
Give your AI agent (Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client) live, read-only access to official Spanish and European public-sector data. No scraping and no API keys for the underlying sources: the server queries the official open-data APIs and returns clean JSON with direct links to the source documents.
Tools
- search_ted_tenders — Search public procurement notices on TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) by keyword, buyer country (ISO-3, e.g. ESP, DEU), CPV code and publication date. Returns title, buyer, deadline, CPV codes, notice type, estimated value and notice URL, newest first.
- search_eu_funding — Search open and forthcoming calls on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, LIFE, CEF and more), sorted by deadline, with programme, call ID, opening date, deadline and portal link.
- search_boe_borme — Search the daily summaries of Spain's Official State Gazette (BOE) and Companies Register Gazette (BORME) by keyword, section and date range (up to 31 days). Returns titles, departments and PDF/HTML links.
Use cases
- Tender monitoring: ask "Find Spanish IT tenders (CPV 72000000) published this week" and get a ready-to-review list with deadlines and values.
- Grant discovery: "Which Horizon Europe or Digital Europe calls on AI close in the next 60 days?"
- BOE / BORME lookups: track new regulations, public job calls, subsidies or company-register announcements by keyword.
- Agent workflows: combine with other tools in Claude or Cursor to build bid/no-bid summaries, weekly opportunity digests or compliance alerts.
FAQ
Which data sources are used? TED (European Union), the EU Funding & Tenders Portal (European Commission) and the BOE open-data API (Agencia Estatal BOE). Each response includes source attribution. Do I need API keys for TED, EU or BOE? No. You only connect to this server through MCPize. Is it read-only? Yes. All tools only read public data. How fresh is the data? Every call queries the official APIs live. Does it cover weather or statistics (AEMET, INE)? Not currently; the server focuses on tenders, EU funding and the BOE/BORME gazettes. What does it cost? Free plan with 50 calls/month; paid plans for higher volumes. Who maintains it? OpenData Forge, an independent open-data project.
