Maritime AIS MCP serves live vessel positions from Fintraffic's open Digitraffic AIS feed, joined to the vessel registry so ships come back with name, call sign, type, dimensions and declared destination rather than a bare MMSI.
port_traffic gives an area's picture at a glance - what is moored, what is at anchor, what is under way, and where they say they are going. vessels_near and vessel_by_mmsi answer the narrower questions.
AIS traps are decoded rather than passed through: heading 511 means unavailable and comes back as null, draught is converted from decimetres, and declared destination is labelled as crew-entered free text.
No API key. Coverage is the Baltic, Gulf of Finland and Gulf of Bothnia, stated in every response.
